Dave’s Homemade Hand-built Gas Kiln

One of the things I enjoy most about ceramics is that I get to build almost every thing I use to create my pots. That would be EVERY THING from the studio, to the kilns, bats to extruders, spray booth, to ware racks. Potter, Waiting For a Ride on the Wheel

Potter is now a 21-lb tabby. Here he is at three months. He was in such bad shape at the time of his rescue the vet refused to try and help him. I quote, “Take him home and if he is still alive in a week, we will see what we can do.” With a little luck, I was able to get him back on his paws. Now he is a gentle giant and a very pleasant pet to have watching over the pottery studio.

Puppy Dog is one of the Studio Kitties. He is a large Maine Coon and he thinks he is a dog. Here he is at eight weeks old. He was the only one in his litter to survive. I rescued him at six weeks old and after $1200 in vet bills he is a joy to have around.
